Project Analyst Review

I have enjoyed this job, the people around me and work involved to such an extent I have changed my career plans to include more of this type of work.

The team were very welcoming and have been happy to answer my weird, strange and silly questions and have never left me twiddling my thumbs in the office or in the pub after work.

My manager always made time out for me. He has always booked 30 mins out with me and bought me a coffee to talk over my week, my work and my worries.

I was given a few small projects and given the chance to team up with anyone else and their project and reject any proposals for work if I ever felt too busy, they have trusted me to pick up as much work as possible but also not to get too busy and hand in poor quality work.

I ran my own small projects and helped lead a team but was left under instruction of my manager and the team.

I have worked with a wide range of people, permanent employees, contractors, consultants etc. and done work that none of these have ever done before. My work has been highlighted as being important to the business and the contractors have told me how I could align myself within their business with the skills and knowledge I have acquired.

Always had Krispy Kremes to celebrate the good occasions, everyone enjoyed a good chat and knew when to gert their heads down and work. Great mix.

Best experience in terms of logisitics, my manager had a seat, laptop and intro meetings set up for me. I was also given time to attend training courses and develop my own skills so I could get what I wanted out of the internship. Holidays and paydays were made clear to me from the start and I was given a reasonable amount of work on my first day.

They never said no to any request I made for training or development.

I have had all the different options available to me made clear and I have been offered advice on the best steps for me and my situation.

All the interns were sociable and all my work peers were inviting me to football, drinks, meals and rock climbing. I was never bored outside of work and have made some good friends because of it.

London has been expensive and the pay has been OK. I haven't struggled to go out but I have not made any money from this, it has given me experience and not financial gain.

London nightlife is amazing. You will find everything there.

Diverse people in the Bank have given me the chance to try activities I normally avoid or things I have never heard of. As long as I asked, I was always pointed in the right direction and found good interesting people.
