The Role
The placement was very enjoyable to a certain extent. The job was very tough and the demands from me were very high. This did not affect my enjoyment for the placement however. What I did not enjoy was maybe the man management I had.
I felt that my work was very highly valued, and this was backed up on a regular by feedback to my manager about my work from the end users
The HR staff were the best I have dealt with. Also the team and management from the technology side I rate very highly. However support from manager in other areas was very rare and a lot of the time demeaning.
There was a high demand from me right the way through, but this is where the responsibility laid at my feet. They gave me the opposrtunity to manage my own work load most times, and if it was too much I had every chance to say.
The start of my intership was doing work that would be monitor and evaluated before releasing it to end users, but later on I was given my own sole project that was my own responsibility.
I had some very good life skills that I will take with me. The role I had was a very good insight into a very intense role, and how to manage it and the people around me.
The Company
It was a good mix. There was times that the environment required dedicationg and a good work ethic. But then there was chances to mingle with the team, talk and have some fun.
I had no problems apart from maybe the way they allocate internships. Being a technology analyst there was a vast amount of roles, but I felt the students skills was not always match correctly with the job opportunities given.
My team invested a large amount of time if I needed help, providing me with learning resources and notes. But what it lacked was not getting the best training avaliable. A few development courses were pointless to certain people, and that time and money could of been better spent training people in a more valuable area.

Company Parties/Events
The Culture
There was bi-weekly get togethers organised by HR, but also the student were very good at organising events themselves.
Very expensive being in london, but it doesn't stop you socialising
Very good.
I did not really identify any opposrtunities out of work as I decided to dedicate my time during my internship to be the best I could for them.
