About You
It was very intense and I was given a lot of information very quickly. However, it pushed me to really think about what I wanted to do and took my outside my comfort zone. I got a lot of exposure to many different areas in the front office and networked with many different people, which was very informative
I was given a lot of great food!! On a more serious note, I felt looked after as all the business reps genuinely wanted to help us progress
A lot. From the get go, we were given advice from everyone all around the business. Campus recruitment panels and graduate panels were very useful to ask lots of questions.
I had to work in teams a lot, and do a lot of debating and discussing, so this will help me think critically
The Company
Very structured. We were given a timetable that was detailed right down to 15 minute slots and it gave us a good overview
For the first couple of days it was quite intense, but everyone got more used to each other, less nervous and more comfortable so a very friendly atmosphere grew
They were consistently taking notes to give us feedback, so yes, invested.
It did, due to the work shadowing and case studies
The values were emphasised to us a lot, including a special values session
We took one day to focus a lot on one area, so it definitely did
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for my oyster card fare and paid £250 for expenses
Yes, we had a networking evening and speed networking
Good, we were given a 2 hour event on an evening and speed networking
Yes, like playing netball against other banks
Yes, it was very helpful in deciding whethere or not banking is a career for me
