The Role
Very well organised - Everyone made us feel welcome from a welcome talk from Senior Partner to the secretaries who could answer my every question!
As Nabarro recruits 90% from the Summer Scheme, we were treated as future trainees.
HR are fantastic: [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] were all excellent. We were sent regular emails, encouraged to meet whenever it suited us and we we met up with them one on one during the three-week scheme to talk about our progression.
The work was steady. The best thing about the Nabs work placement is that it commences with 2 full days of training. That means when you get to your desk on day 3 you can hit the ground running: feeling confident about finding information on knowledge or using the phone system properly without making an ass of yourself!
I recall in Nabarro's glossy brochure a quote telling me that if I wanted responsibility, its there for the taking. You only appreciate this when your at your desk. If you show staff that your willing and keen to learn more about their practice area, they will be more than happy to inlighten you and give you more responsibility.
I think most valuably it either confirms or disproves your expectations about working in a large city law firm.
The Company
Excellent atmosphere - not just in my own department but firm-wide also. Email banter for the win!

The Culture
Nabarro has its priorities right: Kareokee, Regular pub visits; Lunches. My fellow Summer Schemers were all similar in character which makes for a good working environment.
London = horrible prices. Still went out though.
London = excellent night life.
