About You
I really enjoyed the variety and scope of the week, especially the fact we got to experience all areas within the bank.
I felt that the business representatives wanted me there
I thought there was some guidance but in parts such as the beginning investment banking did not give much detail that most of the people I spoke to did not understand terminology etc.
I doubt they will help me that much in my degree as many were banking specific although the networking and presentation skills will be useful for my degree. Obviously banking skills and information are useful for a future career.
The Company
I felt it needed a bit more time management as people were not prepared to face questions or allocate time for them.
It was varied I felt it was a pleasant atmosphere for the insight and the people were positive and supportive although at times I did feel a bit like I was sitting in a huge sales pitch, making me skeptical of the truth behind positive experiences claimed.
I would say they invested to some extent however, more time could be taken to develop more knowledge of how to actually do the job
To some extent although there were limits to the experience of an IB whereas they were very helpful in the other departments
Very much
It has opened me to so many more opportunities in banking and really helped
Everything Else
Reimbursed travel and £250 for other expenses
Definitely - we had an evening of it, met many employees and shadowed
They were very good, however, I felt there could have been more accessible food in the networking evening as it was a long day and difficult to eat
Some of them but I would have liked to have heard more
Yes
