  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Really enjoyable week for me and really well structures. There's always lots to do and learn and some of the exercises were really enjoyable.

    • Very values, lots of direction and help and advice on looking to the future about pursuing a career in Investment Banking

    • Really great, very lively and constantly interactive; never a dull moment. All the interns a a great bunch of people so you all get on really well which is lovely.

    • Lots of advice and direction from whoever you talked to during the week. Very open to giving advice on your career progression

    • Huge insight into roles at the company - lots of talking to those working within the bank who had gone through the same/similar processes as us. Work shadowing opportunities also available so you get to really look at what they do on a day-to-day basis.

    • Greatly so, a very friendly culture that comes across in everything that's done. Very clear to any observing.

    • Very valuable. Gives you in depth insights into the different business areas available to pursue and those working in the bank are very happy to talk to you about any questions you have.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Reimbursed for all of my expenses, also provided with food throughout the week.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Networking evening midway through the week and lots of interaction with those in the different departments as they came to speak with us.

    • Really good, broad range of workers within the bank. Very willing to help you decide things and happy to answer questions.

    • Yes, heard about the Barclays sports team and general social activities to get involved in across the bank, meeting those from all areas.

    • Definitely an excellent way to get some experience in the field of banking; tremendously useful.IF
