About You
Strong programme - good mix of activities.
A lot of effort invested into us.
Fully structured with timetable provided from outset.
My studies are not related but the knowledge should be useful moving on to summer opportunities.
The Company
Very - kept very busy with a great mix of activities. All scheduled down to a T from the start.
Barclays kept it very lively and friendly. Continuous assessment created a tense atmosphere at times that led to some friendly competition.
Could have been more sector-specific training.
To some degree - shadowing sessions were short but a very positive and engaging experience to get a grasp of this.
Shadowing helped a lot - most useful aspect of getting a feel for the culture.
Very useful - full overview of all divisions.
Everything Else
Reimbursed and paid a stipend for other costs.
Two full formal opportunities and many casual ones.
One social event with other interns but time is definitely available for social gatherings in the evenings.
Briefly mentioned by a few individual presenters - sports clubs, societies etc.
Yes, particularly if they are unsure of which division they hold an interest in or feel they need to reaffirm their interests.
