About You
The insight week was incredibly insightful and gave us full exposure to all aspects of the Front Office Business. It was enjoyable, as we had the opportunity to interact with the various members of different departments alongside varying levels of seniority.
I felt incredibly valued, as both HR and the professionals were there to answer any queries I had. People gave their time to solidify my understanding of the business.
I recieved continous support throughout the programme, especially through the interactive nature of the presentation. It was easy to follow as we had a set structure which was adhered to.
I've developed a stronger understanding of the various roles and how they fit together. Given I study a finance related degree, it will defintely give me the breadth of knowledge to udnerstand how the different pieces fit together. I've also developed the confidence to interact with senior professionals which really helps in extracting key knowledge.
The Company
The insight was incredibly well structured as it gave us a chance to explore the various departments before choosing where we want to work shadow.
It was a very light hearted atmosphere where lots of information was shared between both the peers and from the speakers. Everyone was easy to interact with and wanted to help the interns extract as much knowledge as possible.
The company invested a lot of time delivering useful presentations for us. The investment definitely paid off for me, as it gave me an understanding of areas I didn't even know existed.
The various networking opportunities has helped me gain a feel for the culture and the people at Barclays. Having the opportuntiy to interact directly with people helped me gain an honest understanding of the requirements of the role.
Again, it was very easy to interact with the different people in Barclays who gave their opinions on the culture of the firm and also gave an insight into their various experiences.
Very valuable. It's given me guidance on what areas I'm more interested in.
