About You
Networking experience was great. We workshadowed 3 divisions and it really helped to get an experience of what was the best fit for me. I also liked the spotlight sessions on all divisions. Really friendly people, great culture in the entire organisation.
Everyone wads really willing to help you and give you their time. It felt like they wanted to be there and guide you through your career path.
The campus recruiter was a really friendly person. I felt like you could talk to her without any hesitation, She really helped to guide me through my career path, interview skills. She was the first point of contact and all of the interns established a really friendly rapport with her so we could talk with her as a friend. There were networking events were full of senior management and they helped and gave as much advice as they could. Lastly, there were graduates from the scheme as well to tell us what they did to get there.
We have a presentation at the end of the week, in front of senior management which helped me be more confident in presenting my ideas, We work shadowed for different divisions and they gave us every information we could need.
The Company
Very well. We were given a schedule and a campus recruiter always escorted us when we needed to go to different buildings.
At start a bit competitive but then really comfortable.
A lot. Good renumeration, personal attention, loads of people, 100 staff members involved
Workshadowing helped to understand daily roles.
We were given an overview of Barclays overview and culture.
I was confused, but I had all the information I needed to make the decision. I liked both divisions, Risk and Treasury equally well. I talked to loads of senior people, graduates and HR people, and at the end made an informed decision
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed expenses.
