About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the Insight programme. I feel I learnt a lot about the different areas with Barclays as well as the company culture.
As much as I felt that I need to be impressed by Barclays, I felt that they were trying to impress me and therefore made me feel very valued.
The graduate recruitment team were very helpful throughout the week and I felt those from the various business areas were very supportive and answer any questions or queries I had.
I feel that what I learnt was very specific to the role at Barclays and wouldn't really contribute much to my degree.
The Company
Very well structured, we knew what we were doing each day and at what time, well in advance.
I really liked the people on the programme. Very friendly and great attitude to the Spring week
I felt the presentation skills session really developed my skills and helped with my final presentation
The work shadowing helped with my understanding if what it would be like in a real working environment
I learnt so much about Barclays culture throughtout the week. It definitely left with a great impression of the company.
I felt it has reassured me that investment banking is the career path for me
Everything Else
We were paid for the week and reimbursed travel as well
There were always opportunities to network but the networking session that was specifically organised, was a brilliant way to really meet and understand the employees at Barclays.
I had the chance to speak to various employees for different divisions and get a better feel for what they did personally.
I spoke to a few employees about social activities after work and it seemed as though they enjoy time outside of work with one another.
It was an amazing experience and I would recommend this programme to anybody who doesn't quite know what area of business they are interested in.
