The Role
I am thoroughly enjoying my placement and will be sad to leave.
Being regularly praised and shown gratitude for work makes me feel very valued.
Often - everyone is very approachable and happy to assist and I often receive feedback.
I am never without a task and have had to work a few extra hours some days which I'm more than happy to do as I am constantly learning and gaining invaluable experience from being here.
In the valuation team the amount of responsibitly increased over time but was never too daunting whilst in the retail managment team there was much more responsibility from day one and a lot more interaction with clients which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
My placement has helped to improve the quality of my research and report writing skills whilst picking up on industry jargon that will certainly reflect in my essays at university. My time keeping and organisational skills have also improved dramatically.
The Company
It was a busy office but everyone is very friendly. There is always someone to have a chat with whilst making a brew.
Initially a bit scatty but it seems to have smoothed out now and has some structure.
I was invited to the Graduate welcome week in London first thing which provided excellent personal training and I am regularly encouraged to attend various in house training courses and events.

Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement and would appreciate any oportunity to work for JLL I have heard mixed reviews from Graduates at the firm.
The Culture
Yes - I often socialised with colleagues after/outside of work.
Average to high.
The office is on the fringe of the Northern Quarter which has some brilliant bars and is a notoriously good night.
There are a number of charity events organised through the firm and pay day drink in the board room often promoted socialising after work.
