The Role
I enjoyed my internship very much as I was given tasks which developed my understanding of financial products and how an investment bank works everyday, which was main goal of my internship.
My colleagues gave me responsibility to do important jobs which were crucial to the trading floor's success.
The level of business varied greatly day to day. Sometimes there would be nothing to do in the mornings but then suddenly be piled on top in the afternoon.
The internship was not much help to my degree. However, it has helped me greatly with my networking and socialising skills.
The Company
The atmosphere was generally nice and everyone liked to have a laugh.
Organisation was excellent. i was given hands on experience from day one but there were some days where we didn't have too much to do.
We had a training week which was very useful.
