  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship very much as I was given tasks which developed my understanding of financial products and how an investment bank works everyday, which was main goal of my internship.

  • My colleagues gave me responsibility to do important jobs which were crucial to the trading floor's success.

  • The level of business varied greatly day to day. Sometimes there would be nothing to do in the mornings but then suddenly be piled on top in the afternoon.

  • The internship was not much help to my degree. However, it has helped me greatly with my networking and socialising skills.

  • The atmosphere was generally nice and everyone liked to have a laugh.

  • Organisation was excellent. i was given hands on experience from day one but there were some days where we didn't have too much to do.
