About You
Extremely enjoyable because my peers and people at the firm were very welcoming, friendly and willing to engage in conversation. Activities scheduled were useful and not too hectic so there was plenty of time to socialise.
Representatives of the firm were very willing to answer my questions and speak with me about a wide range of things. This made me feel like they were as interested in getting to know me as I was interested in getting to know them.
Representatives at the firm facilitating the workshops were able to provide guidance where needed but knew when to let us figure things out on our own. This was good to ensure we were moving in the right direction without spoon-feeding us.
The insight gave me invaluable insight into the different practice areas of commercial law as well as an accurate picture of what to expect as a trainee in the future. This also proved useful for the purposes of choosing modules in the coming years of my degree according to the practice areas that interest me most.
The Company
Very well structured. All activities were quite prompt in timing. All the activities planned were also very useful in providing insight to the firm. I especially appreciated the networking event as speaking to many representatives of the firm was very beneficial.
Representatives of the firm were extremely welcoming and friendly, making me feel very at home in the firm. During the workshops, the atmosphere was slightly competitive but this feeling made the mood very exciting.
The firm was very generous in the workshop. Having the chance to speak with partners, associates and trainees of the firm showed that the firm appreciated how much we could gain from speaking with them.
Speaking with trainees and having the chance to shadow one gave me a good idea of what to expect as a trainee in the firm. The workshops were also very useful in understanding the type of work that was involved in two of the main practice areas at the firm.
Incredibly. Speaking with representatives of the firm was extremely helpful in seeing how the company culture was.
The content did a spectacular job in introducing me to the various practice areas on offer at the firm. However it was still difficult to decide on a specific practice area. Being able to explore these practice areas in more depth for a longer period of time will give me more confidence in deciding my future career path.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for my travel expenses and provided accommodation.
There were plenty of opportunities to speak with other employees of the firm during lunch and at the networking dinner. Many employees were present so I had plenty of chances to speak directly with them. The ratio of employees to attendees was very good and there were plenty of employees in different stages of the career at the firm there.
Networking event was very well planned. The view from the London Eye was beautiful and more importantly, the opportunity to speak with numerous partners, associates and trainees during the event was priceless. The venue was a little small as it was hard to move around. All in all, an amazing opportunity to speak with employees of the firm.
The trainees especially were very enthusiastic about sharing about their involvements outside of work. They also shared about the social activities that employees of the firm often attended.
Yes most definitely.
