About You
I have learnt many new interesting facts about the firm, which was very enriching. Another positive factor was that we were given an opportunity to improve our skills, talk to many people and were provided with tips for our applications.
Since we were not doing any actual work, it is slightly difficult to apply this question to my Open Day. However, I felt that everyone was genuinely interested in providing us with helpful information and give us feedback on what we have done during the exercises.
It was great that we were given 'an adviser' during the preparation for the exercises as he was able to give us useful tips. As I have already mentioned, the feedback given after the exercises was most helpful as well.
I know now what Baker&McKenzie is all about and I will be able to refer to all these information in my application for Training Contract. It also helped me to decide whether the firm is right for me or not. The exercises were invaluable as it gave me a taste of what it could be like in the assessment centers but also persuaded me what are the aspects of law that I really enjoy.
The Company
Rather well since I felt we have been given much more than you can get in other firms on Open Days.
Very friendly, relaxed but also professional.
They invested lot of time and effort to provide us with the genuine taste of the firm, to respond to all our questions, to make us feel comfortable and also hone our skills.
I felt that since we met so many people and learned so much about the firm, I have all the information I needed.
Since we met many different people from different ranks of employees and also had an office tour, the culture was presented well.
Very much so since I got the opportunity to try out some of the activities that we would normally do when working in the firm.
Everything Else
The expenses were reimbursed.
Yes, plenty. We met most of the trainees and some partners, associates and HR officers during the lunch.
They were fine although I felt that it would be great to have a few more people from the permanent staff to talk to.
Yes, I was particularly pleased with the pro bono activities.
I found it very helpful.
