The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, I would definitely come back to Cummins for future employment.
Valued, they appreciate that you are a student and are here to develop, but at the same time give you enough respect.
I was supported throughout my placement, however expected to get on with the job and personally develop.
Varied, some projects were long term and I also had day to day tasks to complete. I feel I could of been slightly busier.
I had quite a lot of responsibility, I was also tasked with running my department for 1 week managing all SQP projects.
I have developed during my placement at Cummins, it has helped me to understand processes and how to work with a variety of people. It has definitely guided me for the future and when I go back to university.
The Company
Everyone is really friendly and supportive. Great atmosphere.
Fairly good. Could of been improved in the organisation to start with. I felt I had to ask to be involved with a lot of projects at the beginning.
I have had the opportunity to go to some training, i.e. six sigma and excel. Could of been offered more.
Very.
The Culture
Yes, there is a number of placement students every year.
Varies on where you live. With the wage you earn it's easily enough to live and they have contacts of all the other placement students. This allows you to house share.
Good.
