  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Everyone was really friendly and i thoroughly enjoyed the tasks I was given.

    • During meetings my input was always taken on board and my contribution to the project was valued by the whole team.

    • My mentor was always more than happy to answer any questions i had and always had time to ask how i was getting along and if there was anything i needed.

    • I always had lots to do but never felt like I was under pressure to work late.

    • The testing I was doing was a vital part of the project and the daily update email i was responsible for sending out kept the whole team informed of our progress.

    • I gained valuable programming experience which i hope to use in my future career.

    • Morale events organised by the company helped to promote a great, friendly working environment.

    • Education seminars and personal training were provided throughout the placement so I was constantly getting better at my job.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • All the interns bonded together and we had a great summer in Edinburgh going to Fringe Festival shows.

    • Accomodation was subsidised and provided by the company.

    • Edinburgh is a great city and we were spoilt for choice with the range of bars and clubs.

    • Various people in the office organised football at lunchtimes, games nights and other activities outside of the office.
