The Role
Enveryone was incredibly helpful and kind, always answering any questions I had no matter how mundane they may be for them! I also was invited to events which I did not expect including five a side football, a team barbeque and a team meal despite only working on the actual team a week!
The document which I worked on for the HBOS half year was delivered to the press which although was a small part of a large operation, it made me feel very appreciated!
Every question was answered, most questions were answered with questions allowing me to develop the answers myself and learn the maximum amount.
I was only in the office one day as the rest of the time I was out at clients.
Although I had someone next to me on every client whom I was able to turn to, I was also instructed to try and work through the audit by myself
As I have accepted a job the work took me out of my comfort zone but will allow me to carry this forward to the job when i start.
The Company
Although the office itself was quite, I only spent one day there and the rest of the 6 weeks I was in a team at clients where there was an incredibly friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Fantastic, the one day I was in the office I needed to allow me to carry out admin work. Everything was arranged in advance.
Although we only worked there for 6 weeks, one week was spent training and similarly coaching was provided throughout which gave me confidence in being given a graduate offer.
Company Parties/Events
I have accepted a three year contract with PwC
The Culture
Fantastic, after the training week we bonded especially as we were all working in Scotland. We arranged several nights out amongst ourselves.
Same as University as I am at Edinburgh
Edinburgh has a great nightlife
I attended a bbq at a directors and played football every wednesday. Similarly I attended a team meal at the end of one of the client jobs.
