About You
I really enjoyed it!
PwC obviously invested a lot into the programme, and the staff were all really friendly and willing to answer any questions I had, making me feel really valued by the firm.
Quite a lot: all the activities and tasks were well explained beforehand and staff were available at all times to answer questions.
Not so much with my degree as I study Mathematics, but I developed skills such as presentation skills, interpersonal skills and working as a team which will definitely help me in professional life after my degree.
The Company
Very well structured: we were given a timetable at the start of the programme which was stuck to exactly.
There was a positive atmosphere throughout the programme. Everyone was really friendly and enthusiastic.
The group project was helpful to develop skills such as working in a group and presentation skills, however there could have been more skills sessions or workshops as opposed to presentations from members of staff.
I really got a sense of what working at PwC is like through the experiences of a variety of different presentations from staff members, and also through networking with directors and partners at the dinner.
It was very easy to get a taste of what the culture is like at PwC just by talking to the members of staff attending the event.
Very valuable as we were given in depth information on all the different service lines within the firm, making it easier to understand which line is best suited to you regardless of what you initially applied for.
Everything Else
All accommodation and food was paid for during the two days we were there, and we were reimbursed travel expenses of up to £100.
On the first night there was an hour of networking drinks prior to a dinner where senior members of staff rotated between tables, giving you a chance to speak to as many people as possible. Additionally, members of staff were around during the day and at lunch on both days so we were able to approach them at any time with any questions.
Really enjoyable!
This was not really mentioned throughout the programme.
Definitely! It was a really enjoyable and insightful experience.
