About You
The Leadership Academy has been incredibly enjoyable and even more helpful. We learnt a lot about qualities of leadership, often through interactive sessions. Applying newly learnt knowledge and theories through interactive games was the main highlight of the Academy.
Throughout the whole academy, as EY provided accomodation, food and transportation. Plus the detailed programme really showed the emphasis EY puts on us. Also many free goodies like an EY hoodie or prizes for quizzes were provided.
A lot of different kinds of feedback and coaching was provided throughout the whole of the three days. The whole programme is designed to help the attendees learn more about themselves and improve their leadership skills.
Learning more about my personality and leadership type has definitely been really rewarding. For the future and my career will be really useful.
The Company
The programme was very well structured and had a very tight schedule each day, including different activities.
The atmosphere was really relaxed and everyone was quite open towards new ideas.
By including extensive case studies and the SDI strength test, we really learned a lot more about ourselves. EY really invested in our training.
Not as much as we did not get to workshadow, as the main purpose was to develop ourselves. However, through networking dinners and talking to our facilitators we were able to learn more about work at EY.
Having facilitators with us for the whole of three days has been really helpful to get to know people that work at EY. The company culture at EY has a strong focus on the people and is a very open one.
It was more helpful to finding my own leadership type and my strengths and weaknesses. However, knowing my strengths it will be easier for me to find out more about my ideal career path.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for all my expenses relating to the programme.
There was a partner dinner, with managers from EY coming to dine with us. Also everyday we had the opportunity to talk to the facilitator who all work at EY.
The networking opportunities were well planned and enjoyable. It was easy to talk to the people and also helpful to learn more the partner's personal experiences throughout her career.
I found out about these only briefly through networking and talking to the people at EY.
Yes, this programme is incredibly rewarding for a student and also a lot of fun. It is also a great chance to meet and get to know other students from all over the UK.
