About You
Overall, the Spring into Deloitte program was an amazing experience. Unlike other spring insights/weeks, this one was genuine. No prior knowledge was required. After the two intensive days, I feel like my knowledge of all lines of service is enough for me to make a decision. I also believe the interview skills session definitely puts me ahead of other candidates in applying any internship/job in the future.
All the staff were very welcoming and I felt like the company really appreciated all the candidates. We also had the opportunity of meeting senior members of the company including a partner!
It was clear throughout the two days what needed to be done. In any case, if there were any questions, all the employees were more than happy to help.
Before I went, I had very limited knowledge of the industry. I now understand the operations of all lines of service such as: Audit, Tax, Consulting and Audit Advisory. There was also an external speaker and an interview skills session that will put me ahead of my peers when applying for internships, jobs and just generally communicating with people.
The Company
Very well structured. It was clear from the start how both days were structured.
The atmosphere was much more relaxed than other spring insights. This was a real spring insight. Other spring insights tend to make you feel like you are being assessed, however, Deloitte was more focused on improving your knowledge and informing you about what life is like at Deloitte.
The company brought in an external speaker, employees from the London office and even a partner joined us. We were accommodated at a very nice hotel in central Birmingham which was amazing. All meals were covered by Deloitte and food and refreshments were available throughout both days.
We spoke with employees ranging from recent graduates to managers to partners, therefore, we got a good feel for how the system works at Deloitte.
Speaking to range of employees made clear the culture that Deloitte promoted.
Very. Prior to the event my knowledge of the sector was very limited. I have not only learnt about the professional services but about all the lines of services beneath it.
Everything Else
All travel expenses were reimbursed (up to a limit).
Yes! Recent graduates. Recent full-time workers. Experienced employees. Managers. Even a partner!
Very good. At the end of the day we were invited to a meal at the glamorous hotel we were staying at where employees were also present.
At the dinner we got to know the employees and their life at Deloitte in greater depth.
Definitely. For all the reasons above.
