About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight programme. I learnt a lot more about divisions I had not even heard of before and divisions that I thought I knew everything about.
Everyone was really friendly and helpful and I felt valued.
A lot. The analysts and other employees there answered every single one of my questions in great detail and gave me some good tips.
The things I learnt about the other divisions really helped me widen my perspective, whereas before the event I was solely interested in Investment Banking. I also learnt more about interviews and the sort of skills they test. Some financial and economic terms and concepts that I had come across in my degree that I wasn't too sure about were cleared up to a certain extent during the event.
The Company
It was really well structured. We had a mix of events like work shadowing, presentations, networking, etc. There was even a pub quiz that helped us get to know the analysts in a fun, informal environment. I do wish that I could have had the opportunity to work shadow in other areas too instead of just one.
It was great. Everyone, including the other students, was really friendly and there was a lively and open atmosphere. The work atmosphere in the office area was also pretty relaxed and the employees seems really close which was nice to see.
A lot, I would say. They had brought up a lot of analysts, VP's, directors and managing directors to give presentations and help us understand their divisions and the other opportunities lying ahead. They had also arranged many activities that must have required a lot of time and planning.
I learnt a lot about the typical work that employees at all levels do everyday. From work shadowing and the tour of the trading floor I also got a good idea of how they work and what kind of work environment exists.
It helped a lot. From the work shadowing and talking to analysts at the pub quiz I got a pretty good understanding of the company's culture and how it is different from other big banks.
Very. A corporate banking game helped me understand what actually the division deals with and how it differs from investment banking. The work shadowing and networking also helped me figure out which division I would be most suited to and enjoy the most.
Everything Else
I will be reimbursed travel expenses.
Yes
Very good. I met a lot of employees from different divisions and we were encouraged to give every division a chance which I am happy about.
Yes
Yes I would.
