Spring into Deloitte Review

The overall experience was great. I strongly feel Deloitte has found the right balance between insight into the company, networking opportunities, and employability skills workshops.

The programme was well structured, we have been welcomed by Deloitte partner and assisted during both days. Excellent networking opportunities, friendly Deloitte employees, tailored presentations and case studies, and the mid-programme dinner made me feel valued.

As above, all Deloitte employees were extremely friendly and helpful - during the formal part of the programme, lunch breaks, and the networking dinner.

While not necessarily useful for the degree studies, the employability-related skills, lots of teamwork and presentations, solid bit of commercial awareness as well as interview tips will be extremely helpful for internship applications next year.

We were given the agenda and all the printouts during both days of the programme. The programme was structured, letting us go smoothly through the day packed with case studies and talks.

Everyone was excited about the programme and the company, but relaxed and friendly at the same time.

All presentations and case studies were delivered by employees from relevant business lines from various regional offices. Additionally, we have been given a special talk from an external speaker about communications.

The presentations and case studies were designed to help us to understand the roles of different service lines. It strenghthened my understanding of the services offered by Deloitte. Talk by recent graduates also helped to understand the transition from the university to full time position at Deloitte.

The programme put an emphasis on the company culture and values as a differentiating factor. Clearly, the alignment of values between the potential employee and the company is a requirement of potential career.

While the programme did not change my decision, it helped me to understand the roles of different service lines and this is its main strength. All my colleagues felt better informed.

All participants have been paid for the accommodation and reimbursed travel expenses up to £50.

Over two days, we had the chance to meet tens of employees, from recent graduates to partners. They were happy to answer all the questions, both formal and informal.

During the evening of the day one, we have been invited to a dinner. There were 6 employees for the 30 students group, giving great networking possibilities. Employees rotated between the tables, giving us the chance to meet experts from different business areas.

I would definitely recommend this insight to anyone wishing to learn more about professional services and potential career at Deloitte. This event boosts your CV and interview/assessment centre skills, and may fast track your application to the summer internship at Deloitte.
