The Role
Both the social aspect and project work was fun and rewarding.
Extremely, I never felt that I was only a placement student. I was valued as a full time permanent employee.
I had weekly reviews with my manager. Not only that, he was extremely supportive with my project work and gave me guidance when I needed it but gave me the opportunity to develop my own skills first.
Extremely busy as I had to work on several different things at the same time
I was given the responsibility of leading a relocation project
I received job specific training such as VSM as well as generic training such as Project Management.
The Company
As I worked in a manufacturing plant, the atmosphere was constantly lively and fun. It was always busy and loud
Extremely organised. When I joined I had an induction plan and a clear idea on what ill be doing for the rest of the year
I received a lot of training and got a lot of personal guidance from people to help me with future choices.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
With the exposure and responsibility I have received within my placement year, it is very appealing to come back as a graduate
The Culture
As we were over 15 placements, there was always something happening.
everything is relatively reasonable
A lot of bars which is fun when you have a large group of grads and placements
there is a sports and social committee as well as other organised sporting actives like cricket and badminton
