The Role
I have found the placement to be not only enjoyable but a highly rewarding experience from both a career and personal point of view.
I feel that i have fit in to a team which respects my position within it and values the work that i do.
My line manager has been excellent and a huge upport in developing my abilities as an engineer.
It was my own responsibility to manage my own time. as you would expect some days were hectic and others much slower paced but on the whole i have been given worthwhile work to be doing and had things to get on with each day.
I have been given various responibilites which challenged me to the full, i found other members of staff coming to me with help due to the areas of responsibility i was in control of.
I think that my placement will have been hugely beneficial to my future career and the propect of employment in the future.
The Company
There was a good relationship between members of staff.
It was like walking in to full time employment, it was almost impossible to tell that i was different from other employees.
Aside from my salary i was able to use company funds to run projects and control site maintenance, they couldn't have done more.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I would be more than happy to work for nestle in the future, its a good job in a field i'm interested in and they have been a good employer.
The Culture
There were no other placement students at my factory.
Living in London has been extremely expensive.
London has fantastic nightlife, but unlike smaller Cities you have to travel around to get there.
As one would expect in any place of work.
