About You
I really enjoyed it - it was not division specific and really gives you a great perspective on what it really is like working in a bank.
I really like the respectful friendly culture UBS employees possess; I got many answers to the many queries I have in the firm.
I received many support and guidance - there were many workshops as well as a very useful branding workshop to enhance our knowledge on portraying ourselves.
Definitely the lifestyle that spring insight ingrained in me; you get influenced by the productivity of the daily activities and they transfer to your lifestyle which then improves daiy productivity. I now plan my time more strategically and achieve a balance between tasks and leisure.
The Company
Charlotte Durrant and team are amazing; the insight is well organized to maximize on every insight participant's capacity; there weren't any long and redundant sessions at all. We were given many opportunities to rotate and network within our insight class. There were many opportunities to meet the employees and network. Activities were carried out punctually and effectively.
Friendly, many networking opportunities, competitive, and meritocratic. We get awarded for doing well or doing the right things. An example would be getting recognition and prize in winning the trading competition.
We were given opportunities to work shadow. We also had workshops to learn about division specific knowledge. We were given the chance to practice our theoretical knowledge learned. We had many opportunities to reach out to senior to learn and ask about anything at all.
We've got so many opportunities to ask many employees about their working experience. Thus, I even know proprietary information which I signed a disclosure agreement not to disclose which demonstrates how much I know about the division I shadowed in: operations. We got to participate in meetings with directors.
We definitely seen the culture and excellence attitude demonstrated by the UBS employees.
We got to experience working as an operations analyst. We got to participate in trading floor tours. We experienced the feeling to decide on what services to provide to global financial services clients.
Everything Else
Definitely. Many, in fact. I just had a work shadowing opportunity after a networking lunch and met many on the sales and trading team.
Very effective and well carried out.
Yes there are cultural awareness activities, diversity activities, all bar none activity which expound on women's position in investment banking.
100%. Very beneficial. It is so knowledge inducing, you change paradigms!
