    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Well organised and very informative. I gained an insight into all areas of the bank and had the chance to talk to employees too. I really enjoyed the week.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt like a lot of effort and time had been invested into organising the programme, despite being based in another location in Canary Wharf which was not the head office.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The Graduate Recruitment team were very helpful and employees were willing to talk to us. We also had a mentor for a group project which we worked on. The amount of guidance and support seemed to vary from group to group but I found our mentor willing to answer our questions.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed extremely useful skills in the group project which included a presentation. I had the opportunity to practice networking skills too. The information received was invaluable and certain presentations given were very in depth. Learning about the experiences of more senior members of the firm was also very interesting.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well organised and the days were busy. Gained a great overview of all the divisions. There were a lot of presentations though so I would have liked more interactive sessions - the credit risk game was really fun.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Employees were very friendly and easy to talk to. Being constantly assessed and having an assessment centre on the last day perhaps made the atmosphere slightly more competitive though.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Feedback was given and we had the opportunity to practice skills.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • 4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Got a really clear view of the culture from talking to employees and understand more what it would be like to work in the firm.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Helped me to decide which areas of the bank I would be more interested in working in.

    5/5
