    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the Spring Week: Winning Women Programme and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking of replying. I study English literature at university and still believe that I have gained a lot of knowledge from the programme and the events that took place, despite not studying economics or finance. The spring week is designed so everyone has the chance to ask questions and take part in the activities without feeling intimidated. Overall, no matter what degree discipline you are from, the programme is definitely worthwhile!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Throughout the week, I felt that everyone we met was willing to answer questions and talk to me about their experience.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was a constant presence from people who were there to support and provide guidance at any time if I felt unsure about any aspect of what was happening. Everyone I met during the week was also willing to pass on their contact details if I had any follow up questions, which meant that they were genuinely interested in providing you with advice and support after the programme.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The main skills I gained from the week are communication, networking and how to do a good presentation. The opportunity to network each day meant that I refined my listening and conversational skills whilst giving me the confidence to talk to people in specific areas that I did not know much about. With regards to my degree, the week confirmed that the most important thing is doing a career/degree that you enjoy and are passionate about.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It was evident from the first day that the week was well planned and each event had clear objectives. Every day was packed with programme sessions, finance games, risk games and networking opportunities, meaning that there was never a quiet or boring moment. It was very clear that J.P. Morgan values this spring week as a chance for people to gain a real insight and decide whether they would like to be part of the firm.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The overall atmosphere was very relaxed and open during the week. At every moment I felt that I could approach the employees with any questions I had and that they would answer with a clear and honest answer, I also made a lot of new friends during the week who all had similar interests and enthusiasm as I did. Overall, it was great to spend a week like-minded and talented individuals that I will stay in touch with in the future.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I believe that the firm valued each individual and was talented at recognising each person's strengths and where in the firm they would best fit. Every effort was made to ensure we enjoyed our experience and gained as much as possible from the week.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • In such a short period of time it is hard to gather what it would be like to work full time at the firm. Despite this, every employee I talked to made it clear that company culture was something everyone enjoyed being part of.
