About You
It was thoroughly informative and filled with friendly and passionate people.
There were always business professionals willing to talk to us which was really amazing to feel like they were interested in helping and talking to us at our stage in the career ladder.
HR were always available to question and we were given plenty of information of the structure of the week and how to achieve what we wanted from the week.
Being given such an intense overview of a top investment bank has opened up my eyes to the world of work, the world of banking and how to proceed in the future.
The Company
It was incredibly packed full of workshops and informative sessions but everyone was useful and enjoyable.
Really friendly and welcoming, however I was constantly aware of being observed and having to perform well and i felt that definitely affected the atmosphere among some of the other girls, as opposed to being relaxed and open minded it was sometimes a little stressful, but not enough to ruin the welcoming atmosphere that was generally created.
There was not a lot of personal training as such as there were so many of us, but we were given skills sessions which were interesting.
We were given lots of information about what the roles contained but little insight in to exactly what the day to day life was like, I think in order to obtain that information it would be necessary to understand what it would be like to have a full time role a 10 week internship would be the perfect insight. Although the networking events allowed us to ask a lot of questions to the employees what their job was like, it is still not as insightful as actually performing some kinds of the tasks.
Every person that spoke to us was incredibly driven by their work and by working for J. P. Morgan which was truly amazing, every person that spoke was engaged and interesting because of their passion of J.P. Morgan which i think helped us understand the companies culture a lot.
very, we had business overviews, talks from seniors which were inspirational and the chance to network to find out more.
Everything Else
Ample opportunities and events, the speed networking was the most affective in getting questions answered.
The speed networking was very helpful, others were harder to manipulate but still helpful and interesting.
We had a networking event on exactly that.
