About You
I thoroughly enjoyed it, you meet so amazing people throughout the week and the content is both interesting and challenging.
I felt very separated from the firm itself, it was very focused on educating us on the different aspects of the bank through talks and team building rather than contributing to the business.
Evaluations were carried out throughout the week, however no feedback was given to you until the end so you were fairly unsure of your performance during the week so you could improve whilst still there. However, every member of staff within the firm was incredibly helpful and supportive of any questions or worries you had.
My involvement in the week has definitely improved my confidence and skills both analytical and people skills.
The Company
The insight was very well structured but incredibly packed each day, which gave you an idea of the sort of work level expected by the firm during possible future employment.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the programme, it was very easy to settle into the atmosphere and begin getting involved with everything the programme had to offer.
A lot of investment was put into the programme concerning transferable personal skills, especially teamwork and initiative within a working environment.
The aim of the programme was to educate you on the different aspects of the firm through the current staff members, rather than place into a working role during the week. However, there were many opportunities to talk and ask questions with current staff in all the different departments o you can understand the firm better.
The company culture was an important focus within the programme, without being repetitive or overwhelming. The majority of the programme was helping you to understand the firm better as the firm has a very diverse culture and everyone can find a place they would be comfortable and happy in.
It definitely gave me a better understanding of one of my options for future career paths and now I feel I can make a better, more informed decision concerning that.
Everything Else
My expenses were reimbursed at the end of the week for my travel. Breakfast and lunch were supplied so wasn't an issue.
Networking was a key aspect of the programme and you were encouraged to ask any and all questions you may have with many different types of employees
The networking and social opportunities were fun and relaxed, allowing you to be comfortable asking questions and talking to people, both current staff members and other people on the programme.
Yes, we were introduced to a few business resource groups which people within the firm join which showed other sides of the firm which were voluntary and benefited individuals both professionally and socially.
Definitely, the firm caters for people with all educational backgrounds and it helps give a detailed insight into the business without having too much future obligation to the firm specifically.
