About You
Plenty of fun events, lots of good food and friendly people.
They repeated how each member was a valid candidate for summer and all of the best, but being part of such a large group (120 in total, about 40 in my division) certainly makes it feel less personal.
For group projects each team was assigned a mentor, this was quite helpful.
Not so much in my degree studies, but certainly helped for a future in the industry.
The Company
Extremely well structured!
Friendly but competitive and tiring.
Some senior members met with us and plenty of great case studies were prepared for us. Many people in the bank however saw us as "another group of interns", probably due to the size.
No work shadowing.
Lots of opportunities to ask questions and learn from current employees.
Quite helpful and lots of different courses to explain the divisions.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed travel and provided accommodation.
Yes, but senior members were often bombarded by plenty of people and in particular people who hoarded their attention with stupid (repetitive) questions.
Fun, see above.
Yes, they made an effort to show that there is a life outside of work, but this did not shine through often as they clearly spend most of the time at the office.
Anyone who wants to learn about Investment Banking at a big bulge bracket bank, this is a great insight.
