About You
I have enjoyed every aspect but in particular having the opportunity to network with experienced professionals was really great. I have also very much enjoyed the group project and learnt a lot form my colleagues, in addition to making friends that I will hopefully stay in touch with.
As it was a spring week we were learning rather than doing, so we were not given real responsibility in the same way you would on a summer internship, but I still felt very valued and was always given the opportunity to give my opinion and ask questions.
I received extremely good guidance and support, I was shocked by how many people were prepared to go out of their way to answer questions and also by how nice everybody from within the firm was.
I think the skills learnt this week will be very transferable and I will defiantly be taking them into my university studies.
The Company
The week was very full on - the days were long but enjoyable and I learnt an enormous amount. We were given a handbook at the start of the week which was a great tool and within it had a detailed schedule of the week which provided a clear overview of what each day was going to include.
I felt privileged to be part of such diverse program, the atmosphere was really good and I really enjoyed the group project work.
The group project we participated in gave us the opportunity to have some individual time with a industry professional which I learnt a lot from and hopefully will help my future development.
I learnt an enormous amount and found each aspect extremely insightful. I had some confusions with regard to different parts of the bank prior to starting the week which have now become a lot more clear. In conclusion, I think that the most beneficial aspects have been the business overview and the networking opportunities.
A lot - my impressions prior to the week with regard to the culture have changed a lot: everyone in the firm is a lot nicer than I expected!
Extremely: I had some confusions with regard to different parts of the bank prior to starting the week which have now become a lot more clear. In conclusion, I think that the most beneficial aspects have been the business overview and the networking opportunities.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses.
