About You
It was a real chance to see how such a large firm like J.P. Morgan is run smoothly, helping clients from buyers to sellers. Unfortunately, I feel some jargon in the financial world was assumed that everyone knew so if you were interested in finance/economics but not from such a background you felt lost on the first day.
They were encouraging the young prospective graduates to enjoy themselves and ask questions about the firm because they were here to help.
I felt overall it was very well structured in terms of support i.e. friendly approachable staff and lots of opportunities. However, questions were encouraged but it was difficult to ask simple questions like definitions.
I really saw that drive was a main factor amongst those within the insight scheme and this would cause me to be more goal driven and successful in my degree studies
The Company
Superbly organised
Definitely a warm and friendly atmosphere
In terms of training I'm not sure. But the firm definitely explained skill development like listening and analysis was important if you wanted to get far in your career.
We were able to talk to people in the firm but we weren't able to see it first hand.
the CEO's message for the company was really brought across my members of staff in each sector within the bank.
Not sure
Everything Else
Several opportunities
Very dynamic
Not really, many seem to have long hours so outside activity seemed minimal
yes, if they are interested in finance
