    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a real chance to see how such a large firm like J.P. Morgan is run smoothly, helping clients from buyers to sellers. Unfortunately, I feel some jargon in the financial world was assumed that everyone knew so if you were interested in finance/economics but not from such a background you felt lost on the first day.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • They were encouraging the young prospective graduates to enjoy themselves and ask questions about the firm because they were here to help.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • I felt overall it was very well structured in terms of support i.e. friendly approachable staff and lots of opportunities. However, questions were encouraged but it was difficult to ask simple questions like definitions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I really saw that drive was a main factor amongst those within the insight scheme and this would cause me to be more goal driven and successful in my degree studies

    • Definitely a warm and friendly atmosphere

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • In terms of training I'm not sure. But the firm definitely explained skill development like listening and analysis was important if you wanted to get far in your career.

    • We were able to talk to people in the firm but we weren't able to see it first hand.

    • the CEO's message for the company was really brought across my members of staff in each sector within the bank.
