The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my job and if I had a choice would prefer to still be there than back at Uni!
I always felt very valued by my colleagues, I was always asked for my opinion and was included in every aspect of the team. I was given a lot more responsibility than I thought I would be and any ideas I came up with were greatly supported by the team.
I was given lots of support and guidance by my manager, we would have official monthly meetings to see what work I had done and how I was progressing but I know she was around at other times if I needed her. I genuinly believe my manager was interested in my personal development and was always willing to help me in anyway possible and pushed me to my full potential.
Although I would prefer to be busy than bored at times the workload was very heavy.
I was looking after a portfolio worth £5.5million, with guidance from my manager but they were very happy for you to use your own ideas and plan the marketing campaigns however you wished.
I learnt a lot throughout the year and I am already finding it is helping with uni and writing my dissertation and I am sure it will help when applying for jobs.
The Company
Everyone got on well in the office and we had fun nights out, lunches out the office etc. There was some lovely people in the team who I will miss.
The company invested a lot in the students we received lots of training which was beneficial. We were also involved in sales meetings and the annual awards which was 2 days in Manchester which was a lot of fun.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I would love to go back to 3M but they are currently not advertising any graduate marketing jobs
The Culture
Met some great people who will be friends for life!
As there is a student scene it is relatively cheap.
As Nottingham is not far, we had some nights out there but Loughborough is very quiet when the students are not there.
