About You
The EY team put a lot of effort into the event. It was very informative and insightful in terms of the firm's operations and the career opportunities at EY. The entire EY team was very caring and supportive. They managed to design the event in a way, that it was just like they said it would be at the start of the event - Fun!
The EY team was very caring and supportive. The effort put into the event by the team with regards to the activities about the different service lines or the social events like the dinner was incredible. This made me personally feel very valued.
Many different people from EY were present at the Event and provided plenty of guidance, whether it be guidance on career opportunities, the activities itself or answering general questions. There was a large variety of staff from all levels, which showed that they were all happy to support us.
I certainly developed some communication and presentation skills that will help me in my studies. We also received a lot of guidance on career opportunities, application and interview skills, which will be helpful in the future.
The Company
The event was structured very well. The agenda was tight, but every minute of the event was planned out, which made the event extremely insightful given the short time frame.
The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed, though focused. Everyone present at the event was open and keen on meeting new people. However, when it came to presentations or tasks, everyone was focused and participated actively.
The event was mainly focused on gaining an insight into EY. However, as they organised many talks and activities by a large variety of staff, I feel like the firm invested a lot in me.
The insight provided a perfect understanding of what it would be like to have a full time role at the firm. The variety of presentations and opportunities to network with EY's employees allowed me to get a very good idea of the work environment at the firm.
As mentioned above, the event provided a very extensive insight into the firm and what it would be like to work for the firm. This also includes the companies culture. The employees held very informative talks and answered all questions regarding the companies culture, which provided a very deep insight.
It was highly valuable, as the insight into the firm's career opportunities and daily operations was very extensive. This helped me in deciding on my future career path. The opportunity to be fast-tracked in the application process for future roles is also very useful.
Everything Else
Accommodation was provided for the two nights and travel expenses were reimbursed.
There were plenty of opportunities at the event, e.g. during the time at the office or at the dinner. The firm's employees were very helpful and happy to answer all questions.
There were a few icebreaker events during the event, which allowed all students to get to know each other. There were many other opportunities to network with people from EY both at the office as well as at the dinner.
EY's people talked a lot about the social life at the firm and what activities can be undertaken outside of work. Again, they were very open and answered all questions.
I would definitely recommend the event. It provided me with a vast insight into the firm's operations, the career opportunities at the firm and its work environment. The opportunity of a fast track in the application process can also be very useful. Therefore, I would recommend the event.
