About You
It has been an extremely intense but valuable course which has taught me a lot about myself and other people, allowed me to develop my public speaking, teamwork and leadership skills in a supportive but challenging environment. I have especially enjoyed the atmosphere and the diversity of people who also attended.
I felt that my development and priorities were very important for the facilitators and everybody else - the focus on strengths also allowed me to build my confidence. The facilitators also observed us very carefully and gave every member of the team a lot of attention.
The level of guidance impressed me - we were encouraged to exchange feedback with both out team members and everyone attending and running the programme was open to any questions and happy to give advice. Especially the one to one coaching sessions were useful.
I will get the chance to use the skills in practice straight away in the role of president of the Economics Society at university and I feel that the Leadership Academy has opened my eyes on many issues to be adressed and showed methods to lead a diverse team to success.
The Company
The structure was very well prepared - starting with understanding ourselves and building a team spirit within our teams through to challenging us more and more every day, I was able to build on the confidence and insights developed and successfully take part in the latter exercises.
The atmosphere surprised me positively - really warm and encouraging, at the same time dynamic but completely not competitive.
EY has put a lot of effort to make the Leadership Academy useful for everyone - the facilitators were really helpful and devoted a great amount of time to each of the participants. The present EY employees were also always ready to help and open to any questions.
This was not the main focus of the programme but the presence of people working with EY and the Partner Dinner and evening drinks were a great opportunity to chat about it and get to know a little bit more.
The culture was visible mainly through the people working for EY who were present and the profile of the event - and I have not been disappointed.
The content helped me a lot in developing my strengths and understanding my vision for the future - the networking opportunities gave the chance to ask about EY and potential opportunities. Overall, I feel much more informed and clearer about the decision.
Everything Else
All expenses were reimbursed.
Yes, there were plenty both in the evening dinner and drinks and throughout the day.
Very diverse (dinner, drumming session, pub quiz, drinks...) and hence offered a great opportunity for us to speak and get to know the EY employees in an informal setting.
Yes!
Absolutely. It is a really unique opportunity and I would recommend it to anyone interested in developing his skills, understanding himself and getting to know ambitious, driven people.
