About You
The internship was well structured, with interesting activities, good opportunities to learn and a very entertaining 'fun' side with evening events and social opportunities.
There was a good deal of individual feedback from both EY team and the organisation as a whole, and I certainly felt valued during the entire program.
The guidance was very comprehensive as required, and there would have been a whole lot more available if it was needed.
The program provided an excellent insight into my own leadership style, my strengths, personality type and how to lead in a corporate session. The guidance was well targeted and very applicable to my personal situation.
The Company
The insight was very well structured, and although it could arguably have been condensed into 3 days rather than 3.5, there were very few other opportunities to improve the structure.
The atmosphere was very positive, relaxed but professional and an excellent insight into genuine corporate life (rather than any kind of facade designed to impress).
The firm did not hold back in terms of investing in our development, and provided every opportunity possible to provide space for us to improve over the program.
The role was designed to provide a leadership coaching program, and whilst there was a role play similar to the work that would be done in a full time role this was not the focus. That being said, there were multiple EY staff from across the organisation available throughout the program who were completely honest and comprehensive in explaining their work lives (and beyond).
The insight provided a good implied insight, and in fact provided a much more accurate view into the genuine culture of EY employees, rather than the advertising material generally portrayed.
The insight provided an excellent insight into career progression, however I was already set on my career path. Thus as so far as it could, the insight provided a strong insight into my career path.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed.
The networking opportunities were very strong in terms of relationship depth and variety of experience, although there could perhaps have been more insight from more senior staff members at the Partner dinner.
The social events were very strong, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
There was lots of opportunity to find out, although I didn't think to cover this personally.
I would thoroughly recommend this insight to a friend.
