    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed this event. It has been so insightful and I feel like my confidence and self-awareness has been boosted massively. The use of the SDI for me was excellent because my strengths and personality traits have never been identified so comprehensively, and now that I know how I work, I feel so more able to put my strengths to best use. The venue was beautiful and the staff were friendly, the whole event was planned and organized excellently, thus representing EY and its values very well. The networking available, again was excellent and the range of EY employees meant that all interests were catered to.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt very valued throughout the time here. Unlike many other companies, I wasn't made to feel inferior or unimportant, and the focus was very much on us rather than the company which was refreshing and very attractive.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I received a lot of very useful and constructive support. I really felt that the feedback sessions with both the facilitators and team members was extremely useful and enlightening. Everyone I worked with was very pleasant and accommodating so I felt more than comfortable, in fact almost pampered.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I am so excited to put the skills I have learnt to use. I learned more about myself and how I work over these four days than I have in my past two years at Uni. Its a very conducive development and learning environment and I thoroughly expect that everything I have gained from this experience will help me in the future.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured. There was little free time which on one hand was quite tiring, but on the other I was always stimulated and engaged. A good balance of theory to practical but if you don't like theory as much I suppose some parts may seem a little tedious.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Lovely atmosphere, great speakers and staff and very well planned activities and events. It is a break away from Uni that I have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from. Would definitely recommend :)

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I pretty much felt like one of the team. I was treated with respect and consideration, given full access to help and facilities

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There wasn't that much focus on the roles within the company, as in what you do from day to day, most things were focused in the context of leading.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • From what I saw the company is full of diverse, outgoing, relatable individuals who fully enjoy working for the company

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was very helpful in helping me to become more self aware and realising my potential. It wasnt really focused on specific careers but more the means by which we can attain the careers we want, through the way we present ourselves and engage with others.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Everything was paid for and there was nothing to reimburse apart from travel

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes many

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Excellent plenty of food and drink and good conversation

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Somewhat, but again this wasnt really the focus
