The Role
I loved it. I got to live the dream while at Disney and I felt like they gave me much more responsibilities that a regular intern would get. It was very fun and everyday there was something new I had to face.
Very valued, as stated above, I was given so much responsibilities that some projects/tasks depended on me to keep going smoothly.
Weekly catch ups and 1:1s with my manager really helped; in addition to them being very approachable, as was the rest of my team.
Some days more that others but since I thought of myself as proactive, I always had something to do.
A lot of responsibility.
I think I learned more in this one year as an intern at Disney than I did in 2 years of my degree prior to it. Putting everything into a practical sense really helped me learn and do things correctly and with a lot of creativity.
The Company
Amazing. Friendly, casual, energetic. I fit in really well.
Good, I think it was quite similar across the whole company.
A lot of development, always open about shadowing opportunities, etc. Would have liked a bit more training in some parts, but overall it was really good
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Very appealing, I will definitely be applying for a graduate role here post University.
The Culture
Pretty good, I made lots of good friends. Though there were quite a few cliques.
Too expensive, I don't think I could have done it without my parent's support.
Good, lots of pubs and hangouts.
Yes, always advertised around the building and the internal company sites.
