About You
I found it to be a really enjoyable experience. Met so many different people during the short period of time and got involved with so many activities.
I felt really valued, the organiser did such a good job and the employees were all so friendly. The accommodation (really nice, 4-star hotel!) was provided to us, along with breakfasts and lunches. In addition I could fully appreciate the the value in time taken by employees was highly valuabe to the company and made me feel particularly valued as a potential employee.
Plenty. Both the graduate recruiter and an assigned buddy got in touch prior to the insight programme, offering help and guidance. I addition, they were more than willing to support and help during the programme and were very approachable.
The skills developed will be hugely valuable in assessment centres, networking events and in performing presentations. One key thing to mention was the vast gain in knowledge of the company and details of the department that I got involved with.
The Company
Very well structured, presentations ovr-ran sometimes but only because there were so many questions and interest from myself and my fellow colleagues on the insight programme. I can fully appreciate how much hard work went into organising and structuring the relatively short and intense time.
Very welcoming, friendly and informative. Couldn't have asked for a better or learning atmosphere.
A lot, many senior employees took a lot of their time out of their day to spend it with us. In addition, accommodation, breakfasts and lunches were all provided, along with transport.
Work shadowing was hugely valuable in this respect, you can study a company and role for as long as you like but nothing is as useful in knowing what the job will be like than actually going and seeing how it all works first hand.
Very much, learned a lot about the culture, ethics and the working life on the campus.
Really helpful, I have a much better opinion on what it is that I would like to get involved in and build a career in now than I was before the placement.
Everything Else
I was reimbured expenses, with the exception of dinners.
Yes, many. I would consider them highlights of the programme.
Specific networking events came to about 4 hours in total. However everybody was having such a good time at one of the evening networking events that we all stayed a further 2-3 hours!
Yes, speaking to many of the employees was a good opportunity to ask about this.
Absolutely, would recommend to anybody considering work within the financial services industry.
