Spring week intern Review

I really enjoyed the chance to experience what its like to work for such a big organisation. Being allowed into the companies offices and meetings whislt work shadowing gave me a really great feel of what its like to work in each department and specifically for RBS.

I felt, on the whole, i was really valued. Great care was taken to make sure we all understood what we were doing and we were given plenty of time to ask any questions.

During the week we had great support, making sure we new what we supposed to be doing when. Although finding the right bus to find the hotel on the first night was interesting.

I feel the chance to present, although daunting, was a great oppotunity to gain confidence as it will be a skill we will defonatly have to use in the future. The information we recieved from the initial presentations and speaking to each department in the work shadowing was great, helping me to make a more informed decision about possible future areas i may want to work in.

The activities for each day were very well planned out, although we sometimes didnt recieve the infomation about what we were doing till the morning. The infomation before the start of the week was also good, but the travel details were limited.

The atmosphere between all the interns was really good and all the speakers were very positive.

They gave a lot of time towards makeing sure we had an enjoyable week and made sure we were getting the most out of all the activities.

The work shadowing was such a good experience allowing us to understand what its like to work for the company.

Yes, there was a quiz the first night and leaving drinks at the end.

Could have had more people to talk to at the events.
