About You
informative and interesting, but some of the information sessions were too specific to a specific area. very useful interactive activities aside from one case study. too much emphasis on constant assessment made people behave unnaturally.
felt increasingly valued over the course of the week
always graduates to assist on group work if you were uncertain, no question was too simple
very relevant in demonstrating applicability of my degree to real world situations and working roles, helped me identify my strongest skills and which roles they were most suitable to
The Company
generally very well structured though work shadowing placements seemed to be allocated on haphazard basis. some sessions shorter than on other bank insight programmes which enabled maintaining concentration more easily and enabled taking more information from the sessions
the constant assessment caused people to behave very unnaturally and caused a lot of time to be wasted by people asking questions who purely looked to impress. HR not as personable as at other insights
difficult for the company to do so in such a short period though focus was on enabling us to gain a better understanding of the business
very much so, gained understanding of day-to-day life in various roles, how responsibilities differ between graduates and more senior positions, and how roles differ between themselves
pretty well, value-based business, instills positive atmosphere in working environment though this varied by department
very helpful compared to how uncertain I was going into the programme, but also encouraged interns to keep an open minded which I felt was good advice
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed expenses, which I did not expect, though payment was a form of compensation for the pressure of constant assessment over the week
yes and there were a good range of graduates and more senior members of staff at networking event though time could have been spent more effectively if name badges provided more clarity in specific roles
as with much of the programme, more formal than other insights, but good opportunities over the course of the week
no
a good opportunity, but less recommended than other programs
