    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Really good programme in general, gives you a bit of eveyrthing. Could have been a bit more focused on typical IBD though.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Barclays has a strong culture and really appreciate their colleagues. The collegiate atmosphere was emphasises by everyone I met during the programme, and I could feel that HR takes the Spring Week seriously.

  • The programme is very fast-paced so a basic knowledge of finance is advantageous.

  • Could have offered more 1-on-1 work shadowing.

  • People are happy to be here, and employees and HR are happy that we are here. Good atmosphere.

  • They try to convert their Spring Interns and keep in touch with them. They invested a lot of time and resources into the Spring programme.

  • I definitely got a broader understanding but more work shadowing would have been beneficial.

  • A great deal. Barclays really emphasises their strong culture, with a collegiate and team driven business model.

  • Very useful to get a broad insight into all different parts of the bank. Seeing how many opportunities there are is very useful.

  • We were paid and reimbursed for our expenses.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were networking events throughout the week. However, we were usually 5-6 interns talking to one employee at once. Barclays could benefit from having more exclusive networking events so you can get an honest one-on-one discussion.

  • Some employees I talked to mentioned different networks they were engaged in.
