About You
I pretty enjoyed this Spring Programme at Barclays. I definitely found it very useful for choosing the career where I want to work and had an overview of the hole institution. Moreover, people I took the insight with was great so I strongly recommend this program to everybody.
I feel really valued during my Insight. Companies know we are the future for them and the invest in us and value our performance and us as persons
I received certain guidance during my Insight, specially the Work Shadow days where the only purposes where acquiring deep knowledge of the practical side of banking. During the porgram I did not receive a lot of guidance but I am happy about it because it helps you to grow as a person and as a professional
The skills developed during the Insight will help me during my degree studies since I have learned not only finance concepts but also presentation skills as well as focus on the ethic side of any business. So I think both things are very valueable for my future studies
The Company
The Insight was very well structured. Within the first three days we covered all sides if the bank (IBD, Markets and PCB) and the last two days we were able to work shadow people from all diferent departments. The onloy thing I missed was a bit more activities of the Banking side
The general atmosphere was really good. People were nice, talkative and helpful, which make it very easy to pass the week
It invests a lot since they know we are the future of their company and need us to be well-prepared
I have a general idea of how it would be, but given that the pass from intern to graduate is very significant, I am definitely sure that the change is big
I understand quite well the company culture given that we were really emphasized on Barclays values
It was really helpful in the Markets division
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed expenses
We had a network evening and during the work shadow events we met a lot of business representatives
There were a lot of students but not a lot of business representatives
I did not found out about it
I would recommend it to get in direct contact with the industry
