About You
On the one hand, I learnt a lot which made the insight enjoyable. However, being informed on the first day that we were being constantly assessed served to foster an atmosphere which occasionally bordered on unpleasant.
We had the opportunity to work-shadow as well as to meet a lot of important members of the firm. Yes, we felt valued.
Sufficient
Lots of teamwork exercises which will no doubt prove useful
The Company
Very well structured: a variety of presentations and activities.
Tense, difficult; being told that we were being assessed seemed to encourage certain individuals to act in a somewhat problematic manner. This was not always the case though, and I did have a lot of fun.
Very much; speaking to current employees helped
A great deal; there was an emphasis on Barclays key values
Everything Else
Yes, many, very useful
Fun but extremely challenging; the whole thing was assessed so students sacrificed courtesy and basic manners for the chance to drive forward their own questions and sometimes it seemed as though others were being excluded.
