About You
Really enjoyed my insight and liked the broad scope of the bank that I was exposed to, definitely learnt a lot!
Speaking to a both graduates and senior members of the bank during spotlight sessions and networking events made me feel as if Barclays valued our time tremendously. The work-shadowing sessions were also really in-depth.
The work-shadow placements gave a lot of guidance into specific divisions we were interested in, as well as regular interactions with the graduates scheme members.
Learnt a lot of technical knowledge that will be valuable towards interviews that may be conducted with Barclays or even any other banks. Helped developed team work and presentation skills through group projects that I will be able to transfer both my studies and future work positions.
The Company
It was well organised and very jam-packed- fitted in a lot thorough the week.
The atmosphere was very friendly and I feel that the people working there were very willing to give you a range of advice from personal experiences.
Work-shadow opportunities gave some individual time with members of the team you were interested in
They gave an extensive insight during spotlight sessions, got to see day-to-day work
Instilled the company's culture into every activity we did
There were lots of examples such as networking events, spotlight sessions, speed networking sessions and work shadowing.
Everything Else
Paid and reimbursed
Lots of opportunities every day
Sometimes rushed but still very helpful, got to speak to a variety of people across the whole bank
Yes, told about social things they organised
Yes!
