    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the insight because it involved different aspects of the company, and required you to exhibit different skills and attributes to complete tasks.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • All the workers I shadowed and all the employees we networked with treated us with respect which was good to see.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • If anything was ever in question, staff we more than happy to help you out. The employees were very accommodating and were happy to answer absolutely any question you had.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think the case study presentation we did will really help with my economics degree as the topics are very current and relevant and helped me to gain a greater understanding of the sector overall.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • There was a clear timetable and everything ran reasonably smoothly. I would have liked more breaks however, as it was very compact and intense.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • All the fellow undergraduates were very nice and everyone in the company was very enthusiastic and keen to increase my knowledge of the company as a whole.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I think the programme was very costly as the activities required a lot of time from all other employees, so time was the biggest and best investment in the insight guys.

    • It really did because the employees and graduates were very honest with their answers and the work shadowing was extensive, so you gained a real insight into the company.

    • Barclays values are constantly reiterated, which meant that the 5 values are very integral.

    • Really valuable as we got spotlight sessions which was integral in helping to decide your future career path.

    • I was paid

    • Yes. We had a social event on the Wednesday and we had speed networking sessions.

    • Yes, there is a sports league and volunteering opportunities.
