About You
I really enjoyed the insight because it involved different aspects of the company, and required you to exhibit different skills and attributes to complete tasks.
All the workers I shadowed and all the employees we networked with treated us with respect which was good to see.
If anything was ever in question, staff we more than happy to help you out. The employees were very accommodating and were happy to answer absolutely any question you had.
I think the case study presentation we did will really help with my economics degree as the topics are very current and relevant and helped me to gain a greater understanding of the sector overall.
The Company
There was a clear timetable and everything ran reasonably smoothly. I would have liked more breaks however, as it was very compact and intense.
All the fellow undergraduates were very nice and everyone in the company was very enthusiastic and keen to increase my knowledge of the company as a whole.
I think the programme was very costly as the activities required a lot of time from all other employees, so time was the biggest and best investment in the insight guys.
It really did because the employees and graduates were very honest with their answers and the work shadowing was extensive, so you gained a real insight into the company.
Barclays values are constantly reiterated, which meant that the 5 values are very integral.
Really valuable as we got spotlight sessions which was integral in helping to decide your future career path.
Everything Else
I was paid
Yes. We had a social event on the Wednesday and we had speed networking sessions.
On the Wednesday, would have liked more social events.
Yes, there is a sports league and volunteering opportunities.
Definitely. Great first insight into the sector.
