About You
I had a blast on the insight week. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The people I met on the week and worked with were unbelievable. I really gained a valuable insight into the industry and particularly Barclays itself.
I felt incredibly valued by the firm. I was made to feel incredibly welcome the whole way throughout the week and I think knowing our names individually was a grey touch by the HR staff.
I received good guidance throughout the week but I feel that the work shadowing could've been more insightful in the actual day to day work rather than an overview of the function. Plus I believe that people being shadowed should not start by saying why they wanted to leave Barclays.
I feel that the skills i learned will help me not just for my degree but for my future career also. I've learned not just technical skills but communication skills.
The Company
The insight was very well structured I feel. We always had tasks to complete and the schedule was very appropriate to the time scale we had.
The general atmosphere was particularly great and the HR staff really made it feel a comfortable environment to work within.
They invested very well in me. The amount of effort put in to make me feel comfortable and make my experience as good as possible. There was no expense spared by the company.
It made me understand to a degree but I think that the shadowing and oversights should be in much more detail to really get a flavour of what it is like to work in Barclays day to day.
The week made it very clear his strong the culture at Barclays is and how important it is to them how they and their employees operate.
It was reasonably good but I don't feel quite sufficient enough to give me true knowledge of whether I would like to work there
Everything Else
Yes I was paid very well by Barclays. The company as I said left no expense spared. I wasn't expecting to get paid at all and was pleasantly surprised
Very Good they set up many events and opportunities for us to extend our network.
Very good, well set up and regulated.
No they didn't touch on that very much throughout the week.
