About You
I enjoyed the insight as the atmosphere was great, all the people were very helpful and forthcoming.
I felt like they appreciated that if I managed to go through the application process then I would be a valuable asset for the firm.
During the whole insight I could ask all question I come up with and everybody was very supportive and kind.
The program helped me develop some presentational skills which will be useful on any career of my choice. Also the Team Challenge helped me develop further my teamwork skills.
The Company
The insight had very clear timetable which was easy to follow. We have been taken by members of the team everywhere we were supposed to go. The schedule was tight but gave me various experiences within Barclays.
General atmosphere was friendly. All employees of Barclay's were happy to work here and that attitude was easily picked up by students.
We had various workshops on different soft skills useful in all career paths.
The work shadowing sessions gave me very good insight to the actual working habits. The great variety of different roles made it impossible to visit all places of my interest.
I met an enormous number of people all of which follow the Barclay's values which gives a nice picture of company culture.
It gave me a better understanding of how it would be to work in the bank.
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed adequately.
We had a lot of speaches and meeting.
We had a couple of networking events.
I didn't quite remember any mentions of that.
Yes it gives a better understanding of the banking,
