About You
Very interesting, both in terms of what I learned I enjoy and what I learned I do not enjoy.
Felt a valued part of Barclays and felt that Barclays was passionate about my career journey.
I received a large amount of guidance in terms of continuing my journey with Barclays, a lot of which is transferrable to other areas.
Would not say that my skills were necessariyl developed but I did gain a lot of knowledge in to how large banks and specifically their technology areas function.
The Company
Well structured with a variety of sessions, talks and work shadowing.
Fun and relaxed but also serious and informative.
Significantly. They pulled out all the stops on many occassions to make us feel welcome and catered to.
Speaking to people from all areas of Barclays I learned a lot about what different roles involve and how their jobs contribute to the functioning of Barclays as a whole.
Was impressed upon us from the first day. The values... the methodology (DDLA/agile)... the work culuture... They successfully ensured that none of us will forget these facts.
Learned about things I do not want to do and some very interesting aspects of the technolgoy department, including some I would wish to pursure.
Everything Else
Payment of £250. Provision of accommodation (if commute is over 1.5 hours) and reimbursement for travel.
Yep, networking was key with many events and sessions focused around it.
Useful and enjoyable. Met some great people.
