About You
I enjoyed the insight very much for three main reasons. First, I met and exchanged with different people, whether they are employee at Bank of America Merrill Lynch or the other spring interns, as I learned a lot from their different backgrounds. Secondly, I liked the divisional days and the case studies we did during these days. They gave me an actual idea of what the work of analysts look like. Also, the speakers were very pedagogical in the way they presented the cases. Finally, the recruitment team was very welcoming and available and I got a lot of advice from them.
I felt valued a lot as the recruitment team was always available to answer my questions. Also, the people I met were very nice. I liked the fact that I could exchange freely with a lot of people, from different positions (from analysts to VPs and MDs) within the bank.
I received a lot of guidance and support. I particularly liked the fact that the recruitment team gave me a lot of valuable advice for the assessment days. Also, I liked the preparation offered by the recruitment team. For instance, they gave us questions to ask the employees during the networking sessions. I also liked the reminders of where we were supposed to meet at the end of each day.
This insight has given me confidence because I learned what the analysts do in their daily jobs and I am even more motivated to work in investment banking. I particularly liked the case studies. Also, this will help me better understand what is the impact of the economy of the theory that I study.
The Company
The insight is very well structured and I particularly liked the diversity of the activities. For instance I liked that we could do in the same day a case study, a networking session and a session where we will hear the panel speaking.
The BAML employees were always available and the other spring interns were friendly and willing to build new relationships. I liked the diversity of the backgrounds because this allowed me to learn a lot of thing from my exchange with the other spring interns.
The personal training and development was done through the session with the actress where we learned how to speak in public with confidence. Also, the case studies were a great way to learn some technical aspects of the divisions that we chose. Finally, the workshop about creativity was a great way to exercise our creativity.
The divisional days were a very good way to understand the role of a full time employee in the firm. The presentation of the role and how the divisions were split was very pedagogical and the case study allowed us to experience in a certain way the challenges that analysts face.
The insight helped me understand that BAML is a universal bank, with a culture of diversity and excellence.
The divisional days were very helpful to get to know more about different divisions. Also, the panels composed by people from different divisions and the fact that we could ask them questions was very helpful.
Everything Else
I will be reimbursed travel expenses, the underground expenses during the week. The accommodation was paid by BAML and also most of the food.
There were a lot of networking opportunities: at breakfast, at lunch, during the dinner, and other networking sessions.
There were a lot of networking opportunities. And a lot of employees dedicated their time to these events.
They can join networks like the diversity network, the woman network or the multicultural network.
Yes, definitely.
